About Us

Established in 1947 San Bruno Pet has been a San Bruno landmark since it was first built across from the Tanforan Horse Race Track in 1947. At that time this area was “out in the country”. As a result, the Hospital was and remains one of the largest Veterinary Hospitals with spacious exam/treatment areas, surgery suites, and kennels. Dr. Barchas became the medical director of San Bruno Pet Hospital in 2017. His goal is to build upon the legacy of compassionate care created by Dr. Salinger and staff and to keep San Bruno Pet the best possible hospital for patients, clients, and employees.
